Inspired by the duo’s WRC successes, Ford launched the high-performance Focus RS (Rallye Sport) in 2002. Powered by a 2.0L turbocharged Duratec engine, the car developed 212bhp giving acceleration to 62mph in around 6 seconds and a top speed of 144mph. A limited run of 4501 cars were built and were only available in Europe.
